In an incredibly exciting match between Saxemara IF and Hvetlanda GIF at Hejan 1 on Saturday afternoon, it was the visiting team that ultimately came out on top. Despite a lack of atmosphere from the crowd, the teams delivered plenty of goals and drama.
Saxemara started the match strongly and took the lead after just seven minutes through Ahmed Wasfi. However, Hvetlanda GIF quickly responded, equalizing through Ted Granvik in the 16th minute. Granvik then became the key player for Hvetlanda, scoring two rapid goals before halftime, sending the team into the break with a 3-1 lead.
In the second half, the goals continued to come in what turned into a real scoring spree. Saxemara managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Morgan Vesterlund, but Simon Johansson converted a penalty for Hvetlanda, increasing their lead once again. Vesterlund, however, successfully scored another penalty, bringing the score to 4-3, but Hvetlanda wouldn’t back down as Oliver Heidar found the back of the net to extend the lead to 5-3.
Morgan Vesterlund remained hot for Saxemara, converting yet another penalty before Qendrim Laci increased Hvetlanda's lead again. Despite a final goal from Vesterlund from the spot, Saxemara could not catch up, and the match ended 6-5 in favor of Hvetlanda GIF.
A match full of action, with many goals and drama, concluded with a victory for Hvetlanda GIF in Division 3 South-East Götaland.
