It was a fast-paced match from start to finish as VMA IK hosted Växjö Norra IF at Ädlavallen A-plan. Just two minutes into the game, the away team took the lead when Ellis Culum scored to make it 0-1. VMA IK fought hard to get back into the match, and it wasn't until the 60th minute that Julian Grozdanovski headed in the equalizer.

The match continued with high intensity, and several warnings were issued to both teams. In the 80th minute, Växjö Norra IF made a final substitution and shortly after, assistant coach Behar Gashi was sent off.
