The match between Asmundtorps IF and Lerkils IF on Saturday afternoon was intense from start to finish. The attendance was low with only 35 spectators, but those who were present got to see an exciting game between two bottom teams in Division 3 South-West Gothenburg.

It was Lerkils IF who took the lead 1-0 already in the seventh minute through a fine strike by Carl Söderlund. But just seven minutes later, Asmundtorps IF equalized through Dino Demo, who scored from a penalty kick.

Lerkils IF regained the lead at 2-1 through Tobias Nordström in the 17th minute. The play was tough, and the referee had to issue several warnings to both teams. At the end of the first half, Asmundtorps IF's Yousef Abo-Sharkh received his second yellow card and was sent off.

In the second half, Asmundtorps IF equalized again, this time through Philip Olsson in the 61st minute. But Lerkils IF didn’t give up, and Pontus Holmgren scored to make it 2-3 in the 80th minute.

It looked like Lerkils IF would hold the lead until the final whistle, but in the 89th minute, Asmundtorps IF was awarded a penalty kick that Dino Demo did not miss. The match ended 3-3, and both teams earned a point each.

After the match, Asmundtorps IF remains at the bottom of the table while Lerkils IF sits in second-to-last place. It was a close and exciting match that showed that the bottom teams in Division 3 South-West Gothenburg have a lot to offer despite their standings in the table.
