Älvsborg FF showed their dominance early in the match when Ramsin Khoshaba Youkhanna opened the scoring just 15 minutes in. Daniel Albrektsson then doubled the lead in the 33rd minute before Robin Björnell received a warning in the 38th minute.

Mario Gadza reduced the deficit for Vejby IF with a penalty in the 39th minute, but the joy was short-lived as an Älvsborg FF defender scored an own goal just five minutes later. Teodor Nastevski Lindström ended the first half by increasing the lead to 3-1 for Älvsborg FF.

In the second half, Älvsborg FF continued to maintain a firm grip on the match, and Erik Wallander extended the lead to 4-2.
