Match report:

Ledets IP was filled to capacity with 347 spectators when Lerkils IF hosted Onsala BK in a match that would determine the top battle in Division 3 South-West Götaland. Lerkils IF led the league table before the match, but Onsala BK was only one point behind in second place.

The match started with high intensity, and just 19 minutes in, the referee issued the first yellow card to Onsala BK’s Adam Phillips. Lerkils IF quickly responded with a yellow card for Wictor Ericsson after 34 minutes.

The first half ended scoreless, but Lerkils IF would take the lead at the start of the second half. Tobias Johansson scored a penalty, giving Lerkils IF a 1-0 lead after 54 minutes.

Onsala BK responded quickly by substituting Joakim Andersson. This proved to be a wise move, as Christian Johannes Wennerström equalized for Onsala BK just a couple of minutes later.

Gustav Lundgren became the match hero for Onsala BK when he scored to make it 2-1 in the 74th minute. That would be the last goal of the match, and despite a strong finish from Lerkils IF, they could not find an equalizer.

The match ended 2-1 in favor of Onsala BK, who thus took over the top spot in the table. Lerkils IF now has to try to regain the form that made them league leaders before the match. Referee Marcus Strandberg and his assistants Rasmus Eriksson and Skender Zejnulla experienced an intense football match filled with strong emotions on the field.
