It was a match that many expected to be an easy victory for the home team, but Markaryds IF showed their true strength on the field. Despite being at the bottom of the league table, it was Markaryd who took control from the beginning of the match. After 20 minutes, the first yellow card was shown, and it was to Ljiridon Bajgora from Markaryd. Älmhults IF had several chances to score, but Markaryd's defense was well-organized and held strong against them.
At halftime, Markaryds IF replaced two players, bringing in Mario Cadjo Irefalk and Alexander Sjöström, who contributed two fantastic goals in the 51st and 60th minutes. Älmhults IF had to do something to get back in the match and made two substitutions in the 71st minute, bringing on Jaffar Naeem and William Håkansson. However, Markaryd's defense remained strong, and in the 80th minute, Noah Ejneborn was substituted in to score a goal that would help Älmhults IF get back into the game.
With only eight minutes left in the match, Noah Ejneborn scored for the home team, giving the match a completely different tension to the delight of the spectators. However, Älmhults IF struggled to push for an equalizer, and William Håkansson received a yellow card in the 90th minute. The referee blew the whistle at the end, and Markaryds IF could celebrate a much-needed away victory, while Älmhults IF were disappointed to lose a home match that they should not have lost. The final score was 1-2 in favor of Markaryds IF, who also gained three new points in the table.
