IFK Åmål, led by Mirnes Selamovic, started the match strongly and in the twelfth minute, Selamovic scored the first goal, giving the home team an early lead. Not long after, in the 27th minute, Alem Plakalo also found the net for Åmål, making it 2-0. Kumla struggled to find their rhythm on the pitch and had difficulty creating goal opportunities. Instead, Åmål extended their lead through an own goal from Kumla in the 34th minute. After this unfortunate own goal situation, Kumla lost both energy and confidence, allowing Åmål to score their fourth goal just before halftime, again through Alem Plakalo.
In the second half, Kumla tried to take control of the game, but it was Åmål that continued to dominate. Alem Plakalo completed his hat trick in the 52nd minute by scoring Åmål's fifth goal. Both teams then made substitutions in an attempt to change the dynamics on the field. However, it was Kumla that finally managed to score when Dana Kuhi reduced the deficit in the 57th minute. Despite this goal, they were unable to come any closer.
In the end, the match was decided with a final score of 5-1 in favor of Åmål. Both teams received some cautions for infractions during the match, but it was never evident on the field that it was a tough match. Åmål did not need to exert themselves particularly hard to win against Kumla and secured three important points. Kumla, on the other hand, will head home to reflect on what went wrong and how to raise their game for the next match.
