The match was therefore significant for both teams, as they wanted to end the season on a positive note.

The match started with an early goal from Karlskoga FF, where Sixten Eriksson took his chance in the 6th minute and put the ball in the net. Eker Örebro tried to reply immediately, but Karlskoga FF held firm and kept their lead intact.

The first yellow card of the match came in the 18th minute when Mubarak Abdu Osman Kokby of Karlskoga FF received a warning after a tough challenge. Shortly afterwards, Eker Örebro's Tobias Hallqvist also received a yellow card in the 27th minute.

Eker Örebro pressed hard in the first half, but Karlskoga FF managed to withstand the pressure and did not concede any more goals. However, in the 44th minute, Benjamin Ibrahimbegovic of Eker Örebro received a yellow card, and it was 1-0 to Karlskoga FF when the halftime whistle blew.

During the halftime break, Eker Örebro made three substitutions in an attempt to turn the match around. Rasmus Klettner, Olle Melberg, and William Eriksson were brought on to replace Andreas Ovat, Benjamin Ibrahimbegovic, and Lukas Fahlström, who left the pitch.

Eker Örebro was still trailing but continued to fight, and in the 63rd minute, Albin Råslind was substituted in for Tobias Hallqvist. Karlskoga FF also made substitutions, notably losing Sixten Eriksson, who was replaced by Mattias Persson in the 88th minute.

In the 73rd minute, Ali Riyadh was substituted out for Eker Örebro in favor of Patrik Haginge, a move that would prove successful. In the 90th minute, Olle Melberg received a pass and found the back of the net, resulting in a final score of 1-1. Mattias Lombrant also received a yellow card in the 74th minute, but it did not affect the outcome.

Despite the draw, both teams could end the season on a positive note. Eker Örebro finished in 9th place on the table while Karlskoga FF ended in 10th. However, both teams could take pride in a tough match on Lugnets IP’s artificial turf in front of 140 spectators.
