IFK Strömstad faced IF Viken on Saturday afternoon at Strömsvallen's artificial grass pitch in Division 4 Bohuslän-Dalsland, the men’s soccer league. Despite it being a sunny day, not many people attended the match, resulting in only 101 spectators present.

The match started at a frantic pace with both teams trying to establish their game on the field. But already in the ninth minute, the first blow came, and it was IF Viken that found the net against IFK Strömstad. Emil Eldh received a great pass and with a superb right-footed shot, he placed the ball behind the unsuspecting goalkeeper.

IF Viken continued to press on, and in the 24th minute, Rasmus Bergström scored their second goal after receiving a nice pass from a teammate. IFK Strömstad became increasingly frustrated, and in the 26th minute, Pape Mayoro Niang received a yellow card for making a tough tackle on an opponent.

IF Viken’s next goal came from a free kick in the 37th minute. Nazmi Chihadeh took the ball and with a wonderfully curved free kick, he placed the ball in the right corner of the goal.

IF Viken continued to dominate the match, and in the 55th minute, Rayif Mahrat scored another goal after receiving the ball from a teammate. Only six minutes later, Fredrik Nordström intercepted a loose ball from IFK Strömstad and scored the fifth goal for IF Viken.

IFK Strömstad wanted to give their fans something to cheer about and tried to push forward, but it was too late. They instead had to focus on defending, and Kristoffer Tingelholm received a warning in the 62nd minute after a harsh tackle.

However, IF Viken would not be lacking in goals, and in the 68th minute, Rasmus Bergström scored his second goal of the night after a nice attack from his teammates. He also netted the team’s final goal in the 90th minute, this time from the penalty spot, completing his hat trick.

IF Viken ultimately won the match 7-0, which was a thoroughly deserved victory. The referee, Samir Omicevic, and his two assistant referees had a calm and trouble-free match.
