Melleruds IF hosted IFK Strömstad today at Rådavallen Natural Grass in front of an audience of 200 people. The match started at 16:00, with referee Stefan Cosic officiating, assisted by Ahmad Khaled and Johan Jansson.
It took until the 19th minute for the first goal to be scored, and it was the home team Melleruds IF who took the lead through Ludvig Stefansson, creating a boost among the supporters in the stands. It didn't take long before the right-back Axel Johansson of IFK Strömstad found himself on the wrong side of the rules and received a yellow card in the 20th minute.
After 30 minutes, it was Mustafa Bahazad Ehsan who followed Johansson in receiving a yellow card, and shortly thereafter it was Daniel Baronowsky who stepped in and also received the same card.
Before the halftime break, there was another goal from Melleruds IF, this time signed by Jonatan Lundgren in the 44th minute, giving them a 2-0 lead at halftime.
The second half presented several dangerous scoring opportunities, but it wasn't until the 60th minute that the third goal came for Melleruds IF. This time, it was Igor de Amorin Domingues who was in the right place at the right time and placed the ball in the net.
Shortly thereafter, IFK Strömstad’s Sipan Abdulaziz received a yellow card, followed by a consolation goal to make it 3-1 in the 76th minute from Kristoffer Tingelholm. However, that joy was short-lived as Melleruds IF responded with a fourth goal from Albin Broberg towards the end of the match, securing an impressive 4-1 victory.
Melleruds IF is now in fifth place in the table, while IFK Strömstad remains second to last. A tough match for the visitors, who now need to work extra hard to climb up the table.
