It was a real goal fest when IK Zenith (B) hosted Sävedalens IF (B) at Hovgårdsvallen 2 Artificial Turf (Bjurforsplanen) on Sunday evening. In front of an audience of 20, and with referee Nenad Koncar officiating, Sävedalens IF set the tone right away with a penalty converted by Cecilia Simonsson in the ninth minute. Just minutes later, Sävedalens IF continued to press, and Elsa Jörstam found the back of the net, increasing the lead to 2-0. Before halftime, Stina Braun had managed to score two more goals, giving the visitors an uncomfortable but comfortable lead of 4-0.
In the second half, IK Zenith came to life, and shortly after the break, Sofia Thunberg scored the team’s first goal, reducing the score to 1-4. Tricia Andersson continued IK Zenith's comeback with two quick goals, and with just over 10 minutes left in the match, Elin Dristig had already scored the match's third goal, putting her team close behind at 4-3. However, with only a few minutes remaining, Tricia Andersson took matters into her own hands once again and scored her second goal, which meant the match ended in a 4-4 draw.
Although Sävedalens IF started strong and IK Zenith fell behind with a humiliating lead in the first half, IK Zenith displayed their strong character and showcased an impressive offense in the second half. Both teams continued to play with high intensity throughout the match, and with a final score of 4-4, both teams can be pleased with their performances.
