Älvsborg FF showed their dominance from the start in this Friday evening match at Rosenhill. Just five minutes into the game, it was 0-1 to the visitors when Michael Konge found the back of the net. Only three minutes later, Wurry Ceesay increased the lead to 0-2, and Eriksbergs IF now felt significantly pressured on their home ground.
Älvsborg FF continued to apply pressure, and after 17 minutes it was 0-3 to the away team, when Carl Hansson scored. Eriksbergs IF attempted to find their way back into the match, and after 35 minutes, Emil Berglind managed to reduce the score to 1-3. It was a small glimmer of hope for the home team, but it proved to be too little and too late.
In the second half, it was once again Älvsborg FF who stepped up the pace. After just three minutes of play, Michael Konge scored his second goal of the evening, raising the lead to 1-4 for the away team. Eriksbergs IF desperately tried to get closer, but instead, Hjalmar Svensson received a yellow card in the 53rd minute. Then, Tobias Johansson Lindmark also received a yellow card in the 70th minute.
In the 71st minute, Carl Hansson struck again, this time from the penalty spot, scoring his second goal of the match and increasing the lead to 1-5 for Älvsborg FF. In the 84th minute, Albert Ekander redirected a ball that gave Älvsborg FF yet another goalfest, raising the score to 1-6. Furthermore, in the final moments of the match, Max Pajnert scored the seventh and final goal for Älvsborg FF, setting the final score at 1-7.
It was a clear victory for the away team, who had full control over the match. Eriksbergs IF must head home with yet another loss and hope to improve their form moving forward if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation in Division 4 Göteborg B.
