It was a chilly autumn evening on the artificial grass of Säve when Visby BoIS faced FC Gute B in Division 4 Gotland. With only 66 spectators in the stands and referees Olov Lindgren, Roine Söderlind, and Benjamin Bingström in control of the match, the pace was quite slow at the start. However, it didn't take long for FC Gute B to take the lead with two quick goals in the 9th and 11th minutes, both scored by Oliver Blomér and David Ferronato.
Visby BoIS, however, did not let this discourage them and fought back, with Gustaf Buskas stepping up to reduce the score to 1-2 in the 24th minute. But FC Gute B appeared to be invigorated and just four minutes later, Jonathan de Flon extended the lead.
In the 34th minute, Anton Nygren received a warning for Visby BoIS and just one minute later, Julius Dahlström followed with a similar warning. Yet, the game did not calm down as Axel Olsson scored two quick goals in the 49th and 58th minutes for the guests from FC Gute B.
In the 64th minute, David Rasmusson received a warning for the away team, and just five minutes later, Arvid Norman from the home team received a similar treatment. However, Visby BoIS showed resilience, and in the 80th minute, Albin Wallström Bratt scored a goal for his team.
But FC Gute B was not willing to give Visby BoIS any greater hopes, for just five minutes later, it was Oliver Blomér who scored his second goal of the evening, and another minute later, Gideon van Valkenburg received his first warning and shortly thereafter his second, resulting in a dismissal.
The match was now settled, but FC Gute B wanted to finish strong, and in the 89th minute, Isak Hammarlund scored a goal for the guests, and just before the final whistle, Hammarlund made his mark again with another goal, bringing the final score to 2-8 in favor of FC Gute B.
The match was a clear victory for FC Gute B, who displayed strong play throughout the match. Visby BoIS, on the other hand, will need to reflect on why things did not go better and how they can improve their game in the next match.
