It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at Gunnevi IP when SRG Himledalen faced Åsa IF in a Division 4 Halland Norra match for women. In front of a small crowd of 23, the away team started strongly and took the lead just five minutes into the game with a nice header.
Himledalen's players tried to jump up and equalize but were instead given a warning when Linnéa Andersson fouled an opponent.
In the second half, Åsa continued to show great dominance, and just a minute into the half, they made it 0-2 with a shot from Ebba Fihn. Fihn would later add a third goal, bringing the score to 0-3 after a nice counterattack from the visitors.
Despite this, Himledalen did not give up and managed to reduce the deficit with Linda Andersson, who first scored to make it 1-3 and then added another just three minutes later, making it 2-3.
But Åsa would not give the home team any chance to catch up and responded by scoring four consecutive goals. First, Moa Ottosson made it 0-4 before she also scored the 0-5 in the 67th minute. Then it was once again time for Ebba Fihn to impress, as she scored her third goal to make it 0-6. Three minutes later, she added another to complete the rout at 0-7, finishing a remarkable performance.
The referee then blew the final whistle, and Åsa could celebrate a dominant away victory. Himledalen, on the other hand, will have to try to find their form for the next match in hopes of picking up points.
