Hassels IF had home advantage in tonight's Division 4 match against Stockviks FF at Kubikenborgs IP artificial turf, while only 44 spectators in attendance kept their spirits high.
The match started intensely, and just 20 minutes in, referee Roger Lundbäck pulled out the yellow card and issued a warning to Stockviks FF's Juan Medina. The atmosphere was electric, and after 28 minutes, Stockviks FF's David Wikman also made it onto the black list.
Hassels IF managed to take the lead after 31 minutes of play when number 9, Denniz Ekman, struck a well-placed shot that found the back of the net behind Stockviks FF's goalkeeper. However, the joy was short-lived as Stockviks FF quickly equalized through an effort by Juan Medina, his second of the evening in the striped kit, making it 1-1.
The second half began with Oliver Otmalm receiving a warning for Stockviks FF, and Hassels IF continued to push for the lead. Simon Jönsson managed to do just that in the 59th minute when he sent the ball into the net.
Axel Anderzon then extended Hassels IF's lead in the 64th minute by sending the ball behind the goalkeeper, bringing the score to 3-1 for the home team. Hassels IF scored their fourth goal in the 72nd minute through number 18, Daniel Manousian, making it very difficult for Stockviks FF to come back into the match.
Stockviks FF tried to fight their way back but were unable to score any more goals. Instead, it became the third warning for the visiting team when Alexander Jonsson made it onto the black list after 76 minutes.
The last goal of the evening was scored by Denniz Ekman, who sealed the match after 90 minutes by scoring his second goal, setting the final score to 5-1, and celebrated with the remaining Hassels IF players on the field.
In the final moments of the match, Stockviks FF's Michael Wahlroos also found himself on the black list - twice in a row - leading to his dismissal by the referee. It was a disappointment for Stockviks FF, but Hassels IF took home the victory in tonight's match.
