Essviks AIF started the match strongly and took the lead in just five minutes through Jonathan Åhlin. Hassels IF quickly responded and equalized through Simon Jönsson eleven minutes in. Essviks AIF regained the lead with a goal from Philip Hagblom, and despite Hassels IF equalizing again through Kristoffer Nordquist Elverstig before halftime, it was Essviks AIF who had control of the match.
In the second half, Essviks AIF increased their lead with goals from Ludvig Leman Uppling and Anton Johansson. Hassels IF managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Ivar Edlund, but then Essviks AIF scored two quick goals from Ludvig Leman Uppling and Daniel Näslund. The match concluded with a penalty goal from Jonathan Åhlin in favor of Essviks AIF. Hassels IF ended the match with two red cards for Mohamadou Sumareh and Johan Nordlander.
Overall, it was Essviks AIF who were the better team, winning 3-7 on a tentative Tuesday evening at Hasselbackens IP in front of a crowd of 45 people. Referee Teodor Lundgren maintained a solid line and kept track of the situations on the field, assisted by Anton Adra and Yonis Abdirisak Mohamed as assistant referees. A well-deserved victory for Essviks AIF in Division 4 Medelpad.
