On a chilly Wednesday evening at Svenskalag Arena, the players were welcomed onto the field by a crowd of 50 people. Referee Amra Muratagic blew the whistle to kick off the match between Saltängens BK and Eneby BK B.
The situation before the match did not look bright for the home team, which was second to last in the standings. Eneby BK B was positioned a bit higher in 6th place. However, it was Saltängens BK that took control of the match from the start.
Despite several scoring chances during the match, it was not until the 22nd minute that the deadlock was broken by Eneby BK B. Julia Sedell was the one to score the opening goal for the away team.
But the home team was not satisfied with that, and 7 minutes later, Amanda Nordström equalized with a great effort. The match was back in balance.
After a tense period between the teams, it was Eneby BK B that managed to score another goal. Pauline Fohlin found the net in the 44th minute.
However, Saltängens BK made a strong comeback in the second half. Amanda Nordström secured her second goal of the evening and equalized the match once again.
Unfortunately for the home team, that would not be enough to earn them points this evening. Julia Sedell showcased her excellent form by scoring with a header in the 64th minute, and then also converting a penalty that increased the lead to 4-2.
Fifteen minutes later, Sedell made her mark on the scoresheet for the third time. This time, however, the ball was not put in the net by the forward herself, but rather was assisted by Jenny Landberg.
Saltängens BK fought until the end and managed to score a free kick from Matilda Lindén in the 87th minute. But with only a minute left in injury time, Jenny Landberg confirmed the final result at 6-3 in favor of Eneby BK B.
Despite an exciting and high-scoring match from Saltängens BK, Eneby BK B delivered a convincing performance and won fairly on the road.
