Last Sunday, Ringarums IF and Linghems SK faced each other at Ringvallen in a match that would take its place in the history books. It turned out to be a match that would make Linghems SK proud and Ringarums IF sad.
The match started with a high tempo, and just five minutes in, Linghems SK scored their first goal. Emma Lindberg made it 0-1, giving them the lead. Following this, Linghems SK continued to dominate the game, and after 18 minutes, Emma Lindberg struck again, making it 0-2.
After this second goal, Ringarums IF did not allow themselves to be swept away by the match but attempted to regain control. However, this proved to be difficult as Linghems SK was playing their best football at that moment. With 25 minutes on the clock, Melanie Collins made it 0-3, and shortly thereafter, Sara Holm scored to make it 0-4.
After Daisy Jansson’s coaching and a few substitutions in the team, things would get even worse for the home team Ringarums IF. In just a few minutes, Julia Wittenfeldt, Yasmina Torres, and Martina Willgert scored three new goals, leading to a humiliating score of 0-7 by the end of the first half.
In the second half, Linghems SK made a small mistake by receiving a warning. However, this did not stop them from dominating the match. Five minutes into the second half, Emma Lindberg scored her third goal, marking a hat-trick in the season's debut for 2022.
Linghems SK wanted to show their fans that they were the best team in the league, and Julia Wittenfeldt confirmed this by scoring 0-9 in the 61st minute. Shortly after, Hannah Lundin made it 0-10 after finding a gap in the opponent's defensive line.
With about 16 minutes left in the match, Ringarums IF's Sofie Arildsson Edström was given an opportunity to score, and after a brief hesitation, she strategically placed the ball into Linghems SK's goal, making the score 1-10.
As a final testament to Linghems SK's dominance, Julia Wittenfeldt scored her third goal of the day in the 83rd minute, bringing the score to 1-11.
The match ended in a complete rout for the home team, and Linghems SK showed that their strong form from previous matches was no coincidence. The result also meant that Linghems SK now leads the league table, while Ringarums IF is at the bottom.
