An intense match in Division 4 Östergötland West for men took place on the evening of Friday, April 14, between Hjulsbro IK and AC Studenterna at UCS Arena. The 71 spectators in attendance witnessed an intense game with plenty of goal-scoring opportunities and four goals from the home team Hjulsbro IK, who secured a well-deserved victory with a final score of 4-2.
The match started at a high tempo, and it didn’t take long before Hjulsbro IK took the lead in the 15th minute through midfielder Oscar Maass, who scored with a beautiful long shot from distance. Hjulsbro IK continued to apply pressure and doubled their lead in the 34th minute through winger Oscar Persson, who quickly and efficiently directed a rebound from the AC Studenterna goalkeeper into the net.
Just two minutes later, Hjulsbro IK extended their lead further in the 36th minute with Kevin Eskilson, who executed a brilliant solo effort and sent the ball into the opposite corner past the AC Studenterna goalkeeper. The visiting AC Studenterna attempted to respond and finally got a goal back in the 54th minute through William Medew, who received a great pass and struck a long shot into the upper left corner of the goal.
However, Hjulsbro IK continued to control the match and dominated large parts of the second half. Midfielder Mehdi Rezai had to receive a yellow card in the 59th minute for a harsh tackle. AC Studenterna tried to apply pressure on Hjulsbro IK, but the solid defense held firm until the 75th minute when Charles Kaspersson managed to slot the ball behind Hjulsbro IK goalkeeper Andreas Johansson.
Just five minutes earlier, Kevin Eskilson had already scored his second goal of the night with a beautiful corner that bounced past the AC Studenterna defense and went straight into the goal, bringing Hjulsbro IK’s tally to four for the evening. The match ended 4-2 in favor of the home team Hjulsbro IK after a hard-fought battle on the field. Referee Jean-Pierre Samo did an excellent job, well-supported by assistants Ahmed Al-Rubaye and Mohammed Bashir Mah'd Abdalrahim Abdallah.
