At Svartåvallen, Boxholms IF faced Malmslätts AIK in a heated match in Division 4 Östergötland Västra. With 150 spectators in the stands and both teams on the field, it quickly became clear that this would be a match to remember.
Already in the 43rd minute, Malmslätts AIK got the ball in the net and took the lead 1-0 through Harald Töråsen. Just three minutes into the second half, Zebastian Österberg extended the lead to 2-0 after a nice attack.
Boxholms IF desperately tried to reduce the deficit but instead received two yellow cards, first to Lucas Westergren in the 58th minute and then to Alexander Fridlund, the coach, in the 84th minute. Malmslätts AIK also received a warning in the 59th minute, this one to Daniel Ghaemi.
In the 87th minute, Amir Hussein Alizadeh scored for Malmslätts AIK, increasing the lead to 3-0, which looked to be match-defining. But with only one minute left in regulation time, Boxholms IF managed to reduce the score through Pontus Carlsson, setting the final score to 1-3.
Referee Josef Eissa officiated the match well and was assisted by Eihab Saadeh and Gabriel Chamoun on the lines. Malmslätts AIK secured a well-deserved victory on the road and continues to fight for the top positions in the league.
