The long-awaited match between Finja IF and Vanneberga IF kicked off on Saturday afternoon at Finja IP's A pitch in front of a crowdless match. Referee Ahmed Dawood controlled the proceedings throughout the match.
It was Vanneberga IF who took the lead in the 35th minute through an unfortunate own goal from Finja IF. However, the home team did not give up and pressed for an equalizer. In the 50th minute, Lina Håkansson from Finja IF received a yellow card.
In the 63rd minute, Finja IF finally managed to get the ball in the net through Louise Gustafsson and equalized to 1-1. The atmosphere in the stands intensified, and both teams continued to fight for the lead.
In the 72nd minute, Malin Pettersson from Vanneberga IF received a yellow card, and four minutes later Sofia Agrell was sent off for the away team. Despite being one player down, Vanneberga IF fought bravely to defend their point.
