It was a chilly Sunday afternoon when Hästveda IF faced Vanneberga IF at Björkvallen IP in Hästveda. The attendance wasn’t the highest, with only 100 spectators present, but that did not make the eager players any less excited for an important match in Division 4 Skåne East.
It was Vanneberga IF that received an early warning in the 13th minute when Lukas Persson got shown a yellow card. However, they were the ones to take the lead in the match when Linus Axelsson scored his first goal in the 27th minute, making it 0-1.
Hästveda IF tried to come back into the game, but Vanneberga IF continued to push hard, and another warning, this time for Hugo Tillberg, was issued in the 43rd minute. Anton Rosengren, the team leader for Vanneberga IF, also received a yellow card at the same time.
It didn’t take long after the halftime break for Vanneberga IF to score their second goal of the day, this time by Niclas Svensson in the 48th minute, leading 0-2. Hästveda IF desperately tried to get back into the match, but it proved to be a tough challenge against a strong Vanneberga team.
Two more yellow cards were issued during the second half of the match: Kristian Ekstrand received a warning in the 64th minute, and Adrian Pop in the 71st minute for Hästveda IF. Things got really tough for Vanneberga IF when Ekstrand received his second warning, resulting in a red card, also in the 83rd minute.
The match ended 0-2 in favor of Vanneberga IF, who, with three points, continue to lead the table, while Hästveda IF unfortunately remains at the bottom. Referee Philip Celander and assistant referees Amir Bayat and Daniel Svenning appeared to have full control over the match, even though it was a tough game with many cautions.
