It was a dark and cold Saturday afternoon at Färs & Frosta Arena when Höörs IS faced the league leaders Tomelilla IF. Given Höörs IS's situation in the league table, it was an important match for them to win. However, it turned into a completely different story once the match kicked off.
Already after 13 minutes, Höörs received a warning, which turned out to be a forewarning for the rest of the match. Tomelilla IF scored their first goal after 27 minutes of play through Johannes Persson, which marked the beginning of a goal spree from the visiting team. Erik Ekholm netted two quick goals in the 31st and 32nd minutes, leading Höörs IS's defense to completely collapse.
After the halftime break, it was Tomelilla IF that continued to dominate the match and added two more goals, including one missed penalty by Kevin Ketteridge. Höörs IS's frustration grew, and several players received both warnings and expulsions. Abubaker Kuchi eventually received two cautions and was sent off, while Bleon Ahmeti suffered the same fate after two warnings within just two minutes.
Tomelilla IF's Hugo Blixt and Max Jansson added two more goals late in the match, raising the final score to 0-7. With this victory, Tomelilla IF secured their position as league champions and a spot in a higher division for next season, while Höörs IS finished their season at the bottom of the table.
The audience at Färs & Frosta Arena was silent during the last half of the match, and it became a game that will surely be forgotten quickly. Referee Enes Kahrimanovic and assistant referees Adnan Dzihan and Isac Norling had a relatively easy match to officiate, as not much happened in Höörs IS's offense.
