Sunday evening featured an exciting soccer match between Skillingaryds IS and Räppe GOIF B at Vaggeryds IP 2 in Vaggeryd. The crowd was not large, but those who made it out were treated to a tough match between two well-matched teams.
The match started evenly with many nice balls in midfield, but it took just over 50 minutes before Räppe GOIF B managed to score their first goal. Skillingaryds IS desperately tried to equalize, but Räppe GOIF B held strong in defense and threatened several times themselves with counterattacks. The home team displayed fine ball handling and had several dangerous chances, but their finishing lacked sharpness. It would get even tougher for Skillingaryd after the second half, as Räppe GOIF B sealed the deal in the 89th minute. Forward Eleonora Passarin broke free from the defense and scored, securing a 0-2 victory for the away team.
