The soccer fans in Aneby had been looking forward to this match all week, and on Saturday afternoon it was finally time for Aneby SK to face the visiting IK Vista at home. The match was part of Division 4 Småland Norra, men's league, and Furulids IP was fully packed when the teams came out onto the field.
The match had barely started before Aneby SK was already putting pressure on the guests, and in the sixteenth minute, they reaped the rewards. A well-placed ball from midfield found Oliver Widell, who neatly scored 1-0 for the home team.
But IK Vista did not back down, and after half an hour of play, the team earned a corner that led to a quick equalizer. Albin Wetterblad was in the right place at the right time and managed to head the ball behind Aneby SK's goalkeeper.
The rest of the first half was evenly contested with warnings issued to players on both sides. However, it was not until the second half that the match really exploded. In the 70th minute, IK Vista was awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area, and Theodor Curmark showed exactly what he was capable of with a perfect free kick that put the visitors in the lead with 2-1.
Aneby SK fought back, and in the 89th minute, things got dramatic at Furulids IP. A failed clearance by IK Vista went straight into their own goal, and the match ultimately ended 2-2.
Referee Jesper Rygert maintained a good line throughout the match with the help of his assistant referees Massimo Pasi and Dzevad Vrazalica. The crowd was lively, and the atmosphere at Furulids IP was high, even though Aneby SK had hoped for a victory at home.
