Match in Division 4 Småland Östra, men 2022
Match start: 2022-05-29 at 13:00
Venue: Tingbyskans, Smedby

On Sunday afternoon, Smedby BoIK and SSG IF met in a match in Division 4 Småland Östra for men at Tingbykan in Smedby. Unfortunately, no spectators were able to witness the game as it was played in front of empty stands due to current pandemic restrictions.

Referee Sadat Hussain Qasimi and his assistant referees Anders Stenberg and Bengt Andersson maintained a firm grip on the match, despite challenges arising from individual performances and intense competition on the field.

The match began with a quick burst from SSG IF, which turned out to be a premonition of the strengths they would showcase. Smedby BoIK's Timmy Broberg received a yellow card in the 18th minute for a tackle that was deemed too rough, putting the team under pressure.

In Saturday's match, Smedby BoIK's leading forward Zana Eliassi was unable to seize the opportunity to score. After only 26 minutes, Eliassi was sent off for using illegal means to attempt to gain possession of the ball – a successful maneuver that resulted not only in losing the ball but also in Smedby BoIK being down to ten players.

SSG IF took advantage of the situation and upped the pressure on Smedby BoIK, which led to a yellow card for Joakim Olsson, number 4 for SSG IF, in the 31st minute.

In the 61st minute, William Alvarmo, number 17 for SSG IF, scored a goal, giving his team a 1-0 lead. But SSG IF had more to offer, as Hampus Nelson, number 12, scored a fantastic goal in the 72nd minute, extending the lead to 2-0.

The nonexistent audience experienced the tension remotely, and caution cards were flying rather than the balls, with Jonathan Taylor (Smedby BoIK) receiving a yellow card in the 79th minute, and Martin Gustafsson, Yazan Zakour (SSG IF), and William Arvidsson (Smedby BoIK) receiving cautions in the 66th, 79th, and 83rd minutes, respectively.

The match culminated in the 87th minute when the referee also had to show a red card to the skilled Martin Gustafsson (SSG IF), which helped Smedby BoIK boost their fighting spirit towards the end of the game. However, the remote perspective and distant audience could not witness a final devastating sprint from Smedby BoIK.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of SSG IF, who secured a well-deserved victory after displaying star qualities at Tingbykan.
