Last Saturday, Sandsbro AIK and Grimslöv-VTIF faced off at Sandavi in Växjö in an exciting match in Division 4 Småland Southwestern. Despite the attendance being zero, both teams delivered an intense match with evenly matched play from start to finish.

Referee Taib Sisic took charge of the game and kept it under control along with assistant referees Birger Johnsson and Anna Mazzeo. The first half was rather uneventful with few dangerous chances for both teams.

Early in the second half, Sandsbro AIK’s Isac Nilsson received a warning, but it was in the 56th minute that the outcome of the match was decided. Melvin Lockby scored the goal that gave Sandsbro AIK a 1-0 lead.

Grimslöv-VTIF desperately tried to get back into the game but failed to create any really dangerous chances. Instead, they accumulated several warnings, with Mohamed Hassan Mohamed, Oscar Olsson, and Johannes Chamoun all receiving cautions from the referee.

Despite a final attempt to push for an equalizer, Grimslöv-VTIF could not break through Sandsbro AIK’s defense, and the match ended 1-0 in favor of Sandsbro AIK. It was an important victory that brings them closer to the top of the table in Division 4.
