It was an intense and well-played match between Alvesta GoIF and Lagans AIK at Virdavallen in Alvesta. After a strong start from both teams, it was the home team that took the lead in the 18th minute when Liam Andersson managed to outsmart the goalkeeper and hit the net. 1-0 to Alvesta!
After the goal, Alvesta continued to display strong attacking play, but Lagans AIK fought hard to restore balance to the match. They were almost rewarded with an equalizer in the 33rd minute when they hit the crossbar, but the ball bounced back out.
Instead, it was Alvesta that extended their lead in the 54th minute when Anton Karlsson faked out his defender and put the ball in the net. Lagans AIK pressed on, however, and pulled one back in the 80th minute through Albin Nyberg, following some fine attacking play.
But that was as close as the away team would get, as Alvesta managed to score their third goal just before the final whistle through Filip Karlsson. The match ended 3-1 in favor of Alvesta GoIF, who continue to make a mark in Division 4 Småland Sydvästra.
