On an exciting Monday evening at Ränneborg 2 in Eksjö, IF Eksjö Fotboll U faced Torpa FF in an important match in Division 4 Småland Promotion Series North for women. With only 35 spectators in the stands, referee Dzevad Vrazalica started the match at 7:30 PM.
Both teams fought hard on the field and created several dangerous scoring opportunities, but it was Torpa FF that took the lead just before the halftime break. After a nice through ball from the midfield by Lisa Klofsten, she managed to place the ball past the IF Eksjö goalkeeper and made it 0-1 on the scoreboard.
IF Eksjö Fotboll U did not give up and fought hard to get back into the match during the second half, but despite several sharp chances, they could not find the back of the net. Torpa FF held on to their lead and defended it well until the final whistle.
The match ended 0-1 in favor of Torpa FF after an exciting and well-played game. Lisa Klofsten became the match hero for Torpa with her goal just before the halftime break. It was an important victory for Torpa FF in their pursuit of promotion in the standings.
