Södertälje FK Dam quickly took the lead when Sarah Ido scored her first goal in the second minute of the match. Not long after, she extended the lead to 2-0 after ten minutes. It seemed that IFK Nyköping U would have a tough match ahead. But that was not the end of it.
In the 23rd minute, Diala Elia pressed in a third goal, giving Södertälje FK Dam an even greater advantage. However, IFK Nyköping U did not let this discourage them. Eurolinda Shala scored a goal for the home team in the 27th minute, which made them believe in a comeback.
And the comeback was underway. Nora Ingårda reduced the deficit for IFK Nyköping U in the 57th minute, and minutes later, in the 62nd minute, Tilda Karlsson scored the third goal, equalizing the game at 3-3.
The match was incredibly exciting, and both teams fought hard for the lead, but it ultimately ended in a draw. It’s a match that both teams can take positive lessons from and build upon for future games. Referee Faris Ademovic did an excellent job of keeping the game clean and fair for both teams.
