It was a warm Sunday afternoon at Kvicksund Sports Ground when Kvicksunds SK hosted Katrineholms SK FK in Division 4 Södermanland. Unfortunately, neither team had the support of any spectators as the match was played in front of empty stands due to Covid-19 restrictions. However, despite the absence of an audience, it turned out to be an exciting match with several goal-scoring opportunities.
Referee Ishaq Salih blew the whistle to start the match, and both teams quickly showed that they were there to win. Unfortunately, there were also many heated situations on the field where fair play was not always observed. Just a few minutes into the match, the first yellow card was issued to Jesper Blomqvist from the home team Kvicksunds SK.
After ten minutes, Katrineholms SK FK worked their way forward and scored their first goal through Kim Ekberg, who effectively put the ball in the net. Kvicksunds SK struggled to get into the match but received several warnings instead. It wasn't until the 57th minute that they found the net through Melvin Andersson, who equalized for the home team.
However, Kvicksunds SK's joy was short-lived as Kim Ekberg once again showed his strength and scored his second goal of the match in the 67th minute. Kvicksunds SK continued to fight and press hard until the end of the match, but it was Kim Ekberg who, a minute later, scored the last goal of the match, completing his hat trick.
The match concluded with three yellow cards for the home team Kvicksunds SK, who were forced to play the last minutes with one player less on the field. Nonetheless, Katrineholms SK FK managed to hold on and won the match 3-1. Despite the loss, Kvicksunds SK can take away a strong fighting performance into their next match.
