It was a Friday match that none of the 69 spectators at Toresunds IP KG would forget anytime soon. Stallarholmens SK faced Eskilstuna Babylon IF, where the bottom-placed team went up against the team in fourth place. It was an opportunity for Stallarholmen to close the gap on the other teams behind them, but it would prove to be a tough challenge.
Already after five minutes, the Dockarna took the lead when Philip Nygren scored the ball. An early goal that gave Stallarholmen energy and confidence. An extended hand-washing at Toresunds IP KG did little to dampen the high-intensity match.
After half an hour of play, Philip Nygren received a yellow card, which would turn out to be fateful for Stallarholmen. Five minutes later, Eskilstuna Babylon IF equalized with a beautiful free kick from Rami Oraha. That was also the score at halftime.
Right after the break, Eskilstuna set a higher pace, and after Enkido Bartuma received a yellow card, Rami Oraha scored his second goal of the evening from a penalty. Stallarholmen's defense looked helpless.
In the 71st minute of the match, Lawin Walid Youssef received a yellow card. Two minutes later, Nael Ghazi Shabo punctuated the match with a header to make it 3-1. David Eriksson also received a yellow card, before Nael Ghazi Shabo scored his second of the evening. With less than five minutes left in the match, Peyman Alkoyun increased the score to 5-1. That was also the final result.
Eskilstuna Babylon IF took a resounding victory, and Stallarholmen remains at the bottom of the table. Despite a strong start to the match, Stallarholmen's players could not maintain the high tempo needed to win the game. It was a tough defeat that hopefully will serve as a lesson for the next match.
