At Toresunds IP KG, heated discussions were already underway before the match between Stallarholmens SK and Hällbybrunns IF kicked off. After a turbulent season for both teams, it was now time for a new duel in Division 4 Södermanland.
Not surprisingly, it was the home team that took control right from the start. After 27 minutes, Stallarholmens SK reaped the rewards of their dominance, with Alexander Pihlmark pushing the ball past the goalkeeper and celebrating with a palm to the audience.
After the goal, the home team continued to press and create chances, but a more cynical Hällbybrunns IF was able to equalize after 36 minutes. Didrik Wedlund tapped in the ball at the far post after receiving a pass from a teammate.
In the early part of the second half, Pihlmark stepped up again with a goal that seemed to give Stallarholmens SK a secure lead. But Hällbybrunns IF refused to give up and fought to get back into the match.
However, with just over half an hour left to play, Alexander Pihlmark struck again. He maneuvered the ball past Hällbybrunns IF's defense and positioned himself in front of the goal before scoring his third goal of the match.
Yet, Hällbybrunns IF did not back down easily and felt they still had a chance to earn points despite the seemingly hopeless situation. They applied more and more pressure on Stallarholmens SK's defense, and with ten minutes left, Emil Nyström managed to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
Hällbybrunns IF pushed hard to create an equalizer, but Stallarholmens SK held firm. The match ended 3-2, and the home team could celebrate their first three points of the season. A happy but hard-fought victory where Alexander Pihlmark was the standout hero with his three goals.
