Älta IF secured an important victory in the top match against Vendelsö IK at Älta IP 1 in front of an audience of 50 people. The match was officiated by referee Robert Andersson, assisted by José Luis Leyton Calderon and Stephan Narinder.
The match started off with many goals, and already in the 23rd minute, Älta IF's Johannes Brantefors received a warning. In the 50th minute, the home team opened the scoring when Philip Ringbom netted his ninth goal of the season, giving Älta a 1-0 lead.
Vendelsö IK sought an equalizer, and in the 62nd minute, Marcus Wänfelt Lupinski managed to do just that, bringing the score to 1-1. However, Älta IF would not back down, and in the 74th minute, Philip Ringbom struck again, scoring his second goal of the day and restoring Älta's lead to 2-1.
In the 90th minute, Andreas Goldkuhl sealed the victory for Älta IF by making it 3-1, securing three points for the home team. With this win, Älta IF closed the gap on the leading Vendelsö IK in the table and demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with in the fight for the top spot.
