Forshaga IF secured an important victory in Division 4 Värmland on Friday evening when they faced Karlskoga SK at Ängevi A-plan. In front of an audience of 117 spectators, the match kicked off with Luiz Benicio as the referee, assisted by Marcus Adolfsson and Pedram Najafi.

Forshaga IF started strong, and a warning was issued for a hard tackle early on. It didn’t take long before Niklas Bengtsson put his team in the lead with a well-placed shot into the top corner that the Karlskoga SK goalkeeper could not save. However, Karlskoga SK quickly responded when Lukas Söderqvist managed to get around on the flank and headed the ball into the goal.

After halftime, Forshaga IF came out strong and created several goal-scoring opportunities. The best chance came after a player was fouled in the penalty area, and Niklas Bengtsson stepped up to confidently convert the penalty into a goal. Karlskoga SK tried to fight their way back into the match with several substitutions, but Forshaga IF held firm and secured all three points.

The match was physically demanding, and several warnings were issued, including one to Edward Börjesson, who came on as a substitute towards the end of the match and quickly received a yellow card.
