Norrstrands IF 2 faced Årjängs IF on Sunday evening at Klasmossen IP Artificial Grass in an exciting match in Division 4 Värmland Västra for women. Despite the lack of spectators, the players were definitely ready to showcase their skills. The referee, Edris Ghaderi, blew the whistle to start the match, and it didn’t take long before Norrstrands IF 2 took the lead.
After only seven minutes of play, Moa Ström Danielsson scored by hitting the ball into the net behind Årjängs IF's goalkeeper, giving Norrstrands IF 2 an early lead. However, Årjängs IF responded quickly, with Gina-Maria Flamm equalizing in the 21st minute. Just seven minutes later, Adriana Avolaj scored to make it 1-2 for the visiting Årjängs IF, and during the remainder of the first half, both teams scored once. Julia Hjalmarsson equalized to 2-2 for Norrstrands IF 2 in the 42nd minute.
In the second half, the goal spree continued. Årjängs IF took the lead again just four minutes in with Avolaj's second goal of the evening, but Mollie Wahlsberg soon made it 3-3 for Norrstrands IF 2. A couple of minutes later, Emilia Janssen scored her first goal of the evening and then added two more to give the home team a comfortable 5-3 lead. Zmilla Alstad then increased the score to 6-3 in the 74th minute, while Janssen completed her hat trick with a goal to make it 7-3 in the 82nd minute.
However, Årjängs IF would not give up and reduced the score in the 86th minute through Paloma Skarfelt. Alva Gustafsson scored another goal for Årjängs IF in stoppage time, but it was too late for the team to turn the match around. The final score was 7-5 in favor of Norrstrands IF 2, who had an intense but successful evening.
