Obbola-Holmsund secured an important away victory by defeating Gimonäs Umeå IF 2-0 at Ålidhem Arena. Despite many sharp attacks from both teams, it was Obbola-Holmsund that managed to find the net twice during the match.
After a balanced first half with several good chances for both teams, the first goal came in the second half. Gimonäs attempted to push forward in their attack but ran into trouble at the midfield. An attempted back pass was misjudged by one of Gimonäs' defenders, and instead of reaching the goalkeeper, the ball found its way into their own net. Obbola-Holmsund took the lead at 1-0.
Following the goal, the match continued at a high pace with several opportunities for both teams. However, it was Ludvig Brännström from Obbola-Holmsund who sealed the deal. After a nice assist from one of their forwards, he was able to place the ball behind the Gimonäs goalkeeper. Obbola-Holmsund extended their lead to 2-0.
Gimonäs desperately tried to find their way back into the match but failed to score despite several sharp attempts. Instead, there were several cautions, and ultimately a 2-0 defeat.
