On Sunday afternoon, the Silbohof A pitch welcomed two eager teams, Sils IF U and Vinninga AIF U, in the women's Division 4 Västra Götaland Mellersta. Despite the attendance being zero, the game was lively on the pitch.
It didn't take long for the home team, Sils IF U, to show their strength on the field. Already in the second minute of the match, Clara Sunnergren struck and put the home team ahead 1-0. Sil continued to push forward, and in the sixth minute, Marta Mogren increased the lead to 2-0. Olivia Sjöberg then scored in the thirteenth and nineteenth minutes, resulting in a solid 4-0 lead. In the eighteenth minute, it was once again time for Marta Mogren to find the net, raising the lead to 5-0.
In the second half, Sil maintained control of the match, and in the fifty-eighth minute, Elvira Essgärde scored to extend the lead to 6-0. However, in the seventieth minute, Vinninga AIF U managed to reduce the deficit with a goal from Linnéa Hellman Vidja. Meja Thörn then added a late goal for Vinninga AIF U in the eighty-second minute, but it was far too late to threaten Sils IF.
The match thus ended with a resounding victory for Sils IF U, 6-2. In the eighty-sixth minute, Sils’ Ida Franzén received a yellow card. The match was played entirely without spectators, but those who had made it to the Silbohof A pitch would have certainly witnessed a high-quality soccer match.
