Trollhättans IF faced Vänersborgs IF U at Skogshöjden A-plan in an exciting Division 4 Västergötland Nordvästra match on Thursday evening. With an audience of 80 people and referee Simon Ramanovic on the field, it was a match worth watching.
The match started strongly with both teams trying to take control of the ball. After 22 minutes, Trollhättans IF managed to score the first goal through Tilda Ohlson, who nicely placed the ball in the net. Vänersborgs IF U, however, tried to respond immediately and after a penalty kick by Nathalie Petersson, she equalized to 1-1 in the 29th minute. Trollhättans IF did not let this discourage them, and just 11 minutes later they earned a penalty kick of their own, which Tilda Ohlson converted, scoring her second goal of the evening and giving the home team the lead again.
The second half started just as strongly as the first, and after 51 minutes Tilda Ohlson scored her third goal, completing a hat-trick and giving the home team a two-goal lead. Vänersborgs IF U fought back to close the gap, and in the 78th minute they succeeded when Maja Sjölander Larsson scored a beautiful goal, reducing the score to 3-2. Trollhättans IF, however, would not be discouraged and in the 81st minute, they increased their lead to 4-2 with a goal from Matilda Reinholdsson. It seemed for a long time that it would be a relatively straightforward match for the home team, but Vänersborgs IF U kept battling, and in the final minutes of the match, Selma Sandén Wester managed to score yet another goal, closing the match to 4-3.
It was a very exciting match with good play from both teams, but in the end, Trollhättans IF emerged victorious with a score of 4-3. Tilda Ohlson was the star of the match with her three goals.
