It was an exciting match played between Halvorstorp/FC Trollhättan U and Vänersborgs IF U at Stavrelunds IP A-plan today. It was full throttle from start to finish, with both teams fighting hard to win the match.
The home team started the strongest, and it didn't take long before they took the lead. In the 22nd minute, Emma Bengtsson managed to score, giving Halvorstorp/FC Trollhättan U an early grip on the match.
But Vänersborgs IF U would not give up so easily. After a tight first half, the equalizer came in the 35th minute when Tilde Arvidsson succeeded in getting the ball behind the home team's goalkeeper.
The second half continued at the same high pace, and both teams sought the winning goal with great vigor and courage. Halvorstorp/FC Trollhättan U managed to regain the lead in the 59th minute when Engla Stavered made it 2-1.
But Vänersborgs IF U did not want to give in, and they continued to fight for a point. It was Wilma Olsson who saved a point for the visitors when she scored the equalizer in the 67th minute.
The match ended 2-2, and both teams deserve praise for their brave efforts over the course of 90 minutes. It was a truly entertaining match for everyone present, and Igor Gogic, the referee, did an excellent job of keeping the game fair and disciplined.
