On this Wednesday evening, Mölltorps IP hosted a match between Fagersanna/Mölltorp-Brevik and Våmbs IF U in Division 4 Västergötland North for women. However, the spectator area was empty for the match, and all eyes were instead on the field and referee Yamen Rahmoun.
The match kicked off at 19:00, and it didn't take long for Våmbs IF U to get into gear. In the eighth minute, Thea Ekström scored a beautiful goal, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. Fagersanna/Mölltorp-Brevik fought to equalize, but instead, they watched as Våmb’s Alva Lööf scored to make it 0-2 in the fourteenth minute.
The second half opened strongly for Våmb as Maja Norin scored 0-3 in the 56th minute. However, Fagersanna/Mölltorp-Brevik did not give up completely. In the 58th minute, they finally managed to get a goal through Svea Juliusson. Twelve minutes later, they were awarded a penalty, which Ellen Mårdberg converted excellently, giving the home team a boost of energy.
But Våmb was not ready to give away the victory so easily. In the 77th minute, Alva Lööf scored her second goal of the night, extending the visitors' lead to 2-4. Lova Gustavsson also managed to score Våmb's fifth goal in the end, which became the final score.
Thus, Våmbs IF U could take the three points home after a strong performance away. Meanwhile, Fagersanna/Mölltorp-Brevik suffered a defeat, despite a decent effort, especially in the second half.
