It was an intense event when Kronängs IF hosted Södra Ving/Hössna/Timmele U at home on Kronäng Arena’s artificial turf 1 in Division 4 Västergötland Södra, women. A crowd of 60 people gathered to see which team would emerge victorious from the match, which started at 7:30 PM on Thursday evening.
The match began with an even playing field where both teams exchanged chances. However, it was Kronängs IF that would take the lead in the 34th minute when number 17, Stina Ung, managed to find the net behind the Södra Ving/Hössna/Timmele goalkeeper.
In the second half, the visiting team fought to get back into the match, and it would take until the 76th minute before they scored. Klara Ahlin placed a fine shot into the goal, equalizing to 1-1.
But Kronängs IF would reclaim the lead just six minutes later when number 9, Saga Kasselstrand, struck and sent the ball into the net behind the Södra Ving/Hössna/Timmele goalkeeper.
Despite the visiting team’s efforts to equalize, Kronängs IF held firm and ultimately won the match 2-1. The referee, Adnan Domani, had a hectic evening with plenty of ball possession and issued cards, but in the end, Kronängs IF could celebrate a well-deserved victory in front of their fans.
