The fourth round of Division 4 Västergötland Västra for women was played on Tuesday evening at Lenavallen A-plan between Östadkulle/Södra Härene (9:9) and Alingsås KIK U. Although the venue had no spectators present, the match offered excitement and entertainment.
Referee Enver Sutovic blew the whistle to start the match at 19:00, and it was Alingsås KIK U who took the early initiative. They earned a free-kick in the 15th minute, and Lisa Udén sent the ball into the net, making it 0-1 to the visitors.
However, Östadkulle/Södra Härene (9:9) did not let the early setback discourage them. Just two minutes later, in the 17th minute, Linn Bergqvist equalized with a nice free-kick. The match continued at a high pace, with many chances for both teams.
But in the 24th minute, Cornelia Steingrüber put Alingsås KIK U back in the lead, making it 1-2 for the visitors. Östadkulle/Södra Härene (9:9) fought for an equalizer, but the visitors' defense held strong.
In the 38th minute, Lisa Udén scored her second goal of the evening, extending Alingsås KIK U's lead to 1-3. Östadkulle/Södra Härene (9:9) continued to push forward, but struggled to create any really dangerous chances in front of the opponent's goal.
Then, in the 42nd minute, Elsa Engman scored the final goal for Alingsås KIK U, completing the 1-4 victory for the visitors. Östadkulle/Södra Härene (9:9) tried to show some reaction, but Alingsås KIK U held their ground and took three points home.
A well-played match by both teams, but it was Alingsås KIK U who came out on top. The next round of Division 4 Västergötland Västra for women will be played in a few days, and hopefully the teams will have learned something from their previous matches and can provide equally exciting football then.
