Öna SK Women hosted IF Vulcanus at home on Öna IP on Sunday morning. Both teams find themselves at the bottom of the table in Division 5 Dalarna 9-a-side, women's, and needed a victory to try to climb up the standings. In front of an empty stand, referee Rolf Hansson blew the whistle to start the match.
It was the home team that immediately took control and pushed the game forward. Already after 17 minutes, Öna managed to create a dangerous situation in the opponent's penalty area, resulting in Sandra Elden's first goal of the day. Vulcanus tried to apply pressure on Öna, but the home team's defense held firm and did not allow any dangerous chances.
At the end of the first half, IF Vulcanus received their first warning when Tindra Kronberg accidentally fouled an opponent. Shortly after, Öna was awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area, which Malin Andréason delivered, celebrating her goal with joy.
In the second half, Öna continued to play offensively and create chances. After 56 minutes, Sandra Elden once again advanced and scored for the second time of the day, marking her sixth goal overall in the series.
The match ultimately ended 3-0 in favor of Öna SK Women, who now climb up one spot in the table. Despite an equal first half, IF Vulcanus could not withstand the stronger home team in the second half and were unable to catch up in the goal tally.
