Melleruds IF U-team secured an important victory at home on Rådavallen Natural Grass when they defeated Bäckefors IF 3-2 in a thrilling match.
The match started intensely, and already in the 9th minute, Bäckefors took the lead through Johan Jensen. However, Melleruds IF U-team did not give up and quickly equalized through Ludvig Stefansson in the 19th minute.
In the second half, Melleruds IF U-team took the lead through Mohammad Reza Karimi in the 73rd minute. Bäckefors, however, did not back down and managed to equalize once more through Daniel Lindqvist, who converted a penalty in the 77th minute.
The match seemed destined to end in a draw, but in the 88th minute, Joel Olsson stepped up and decided the match in Melleruds' favor with his goal, marking an important victory for the team.
The audience present at Rådavallen Natural Grass was treated to an exciting match with numerous goal chances and good football. The referee, Patric Dahlin, maintained a good level, and the match flowed without major incidents.
After the victory against Bäckefors IF, Melleruds IF U-team has created some breathing room at the bottom of the table and can look forward to upcoming matches with renewed energy and confidence.
