It was the visiting Håfreströms IF that got off to a dream start when Binak Shenaraj scored after 15 minutes, putting the ball behind the Bengtsfors goalkeeper and taking a 0-1 lead. Just a minute later, Håfreströms IF extended their lead to 0-2 through Ali Makiya, prompting Bengtsfors IF to chase a quick goal to get back into the match.
Bengtsfors IF got a chance to reduce the deficit when awarded a free kick, but they were unable to make use of it, and the visitors continued to be the better team on the field. After 26 minutes, Fredrik Bernhardsson received a yellow card for the home team, and things were looking grim for them.
However, Leopold Magnusson Ek scored a beautiful goal after 34 minutes, bringing the score to 1-2 for Bengtsfors IF. After a balanced second half, Håfreströms IF managed to increase their lead to 3-1 after 63 minutes, thanks to a penalty converted into a goal by Florijan Fejzulovic.
But Bengtsfors IF did not want to give up and took control of the game. Noel Robert Lindelo Mattsson managed to reduce the score to 2-3 after 66 minutes. With just a few minutes left in the match, Håfreströms IF's Hamed Hosseini received a yellow card, and when Filip Johansson of Bengtsfors IF also got a yellow card, it became clear that the match was starting to heat up.
In the final minutes of the match, Bengtsfors IF increased the tempo, and Oscar Enarsson was able to score an equalizer in stoppage time, making the final score 3-3. A well-deserved point for Bengtsfors IF, who fought their way back and managed to stay in the match despite being two goals down.
