Friday evening and it was time for a Division 5 match on Färgelanda's artificial grass pitch. Ellenö IK was in second place in the league before the match, while Brålanda IF's U-team was in sixth place on the table. The attendance was not impressive, but the players did not let that bother them.
The match kicked off at 18:00 as planned, with a motivated Ellenö IK team hosting the visiting Brålanda IF U-team. Unfortunately for the home team, it was a tough start to the match as the guests took the lead in the 38th minute with a goal from Alexander Skogsberg. Just a few minutes later, Brålanda extended their lead with a goal from Hugo Dörrich, which meant Ellenö IK had to fight hard to regain control of the match.
In the 45th minute, Mahmoud Hamed was cautioned for Ellenö IK, and just a few minutes later, Johan Lindqvist from Brålanda IF U-team also received a caution. But despite Ellenö IK's hard work, they failed to score any goals during the first half, leaving the score at 0-2 to Brålanda when the referee blew the whistle for halftime.
When the second half began, Ellenö IK continued to fight hard, and when the clock reached the 63rd minute, Noraldin Azizi scored a goal, making the score 1-2. It was as if the goal gave Ellenö IK new hope, for just a few minutes later, in the 65th minute, Azizi managed to score another goal. The match was now completely even again, 2-2.
The match continued with hard fighting from both teams, but the final result was 2-2. A well-deserved point for both teams as it was a tight match where both teams gave their best.
