Despite a late comeback from Fardhem Garda BK B, they could only manage a draw against IFK Visby C in the Division 5 Gotland match on Friday evening at Västerhejde IP. IFK Visby C started with impressive attacking play and took the lead already in the eleventh minute through Edvin Persson. He doubled the lead 16 minutes later by tapping in the ball after a nice pass from his teammate. Fardhem Garda BK B fought on, and Rahmatullah Bigzad resorted to illegal methods, which resulted in two yellow cards and a red card before the hour mark. But Fardhem Garda BK B never gave up. In the 77th minute, the deadlock was broken when Hannes Smitterberg scored a flawless free kick, giving the team hope of coming back into the match. Smitterberg also became the hero of the match when he kept Fardhem Garda BK B's chances alive by scoring a secure goal in stoppage time, and the match ended 2-2. Despite the split result, it was a well-played game with disciplined football from both teams. Referee Fredrik Hård af Segerstad and his assistants Bo Darvelid and Serdar Sari had little to complain about, and it was an entertaining evening for the 42 spectators present.
