Last Sunday, Hangvar SK B/Fårösunds GoIK played against Visby BoIS C/Roma IF at Skogsgläntan in Division 5 Gotland. Only three previous soccer matches had been played here this year, but the stands were nonetheless filled with about 30 supporting spectators who cheered on their teams. It turned out to be a truly historic match, where the home team secured a convincing victory with a score of 9 - 0 against the visiting team.
Already after eight minutes of play, Hangvar took the lead through 14. Melwin Forsberg, who also scored two of the following goals in the match. Just ten minutes in, Axel Bolin doubled the lead to 2 - 0 for Zoran Zizic’s squad, and just four minutes later, Daniel Olofsson headed in to make it 3 - 0. It was a really strong start from the home team, determined to show who was the dominant force on the field.
In the 23rd minute, Neo Karlsson made it 4 - 0, and just seven minutes later, Melwin Forsberg increased his goal tally with his second goal of the match - making it 5 - 0 for Hangvar. The halftime score was thus set at a resounding 6 - 0 for the home team after Axel Bolin had also scored his second goal.
In the second half, Hangvar continued to be sharp, and in the 60th minute, Melwin Forsberg completed his hat trick with a 7 - 0 goal. The crowd erupted in cheers and Hangvar now had an enormous advantage over the visiting team. In the 73rd minute, Axel Bolin also scored a hat trick, increasing the lead to 8 - 0. Hangvar kept attacking, and in the 77th minute, Emil Larsson scored the final goal, making it 9 - 0, and the match was over.
After the match, it was evident that Hangvar had prepared well and trained intensively before this game. Visby BoIS C/Roma IF faced defeat against a very strong and joyful Hangvar, who took three important points. David Westfält from Hangvar also received a warning during the match.
This was an impressive performance by Hangvar, which further solidifies their position in the standings as they look ahead. The result will be remembered by the home supporters who were present at Skogsgläntan on this Sunday.
