Division 5 Halland Norrra, men 2023

Unite People FC - Frillesås FF (0 - 9)
Match in Division 5 Halland Norrra, men 2023
Match start: 2023-09-29 at 19:00
Venue: Håstens IP konstgräs

On a cold, dark, and hopefully rain-free evening, Unite People FC faced Frillesås FF at Håstens IP artificial turf. The absence of an audience meant that the players had to provide all the entertainment for 90 minutes.

The match started poorly for the home team, as Frillesås FF opened the scoring through Albin Julin just ten minutes in. Only two minutes later, it was again Julin from Frillesås FF who found the back of the net, making him the first player of the match to score two goals.

Unite People FC struggled to find their rhythm, and after 14 minutes, it was also Fredrik Brandin from the visiting team who sealed the fate for the challengers. At this point, it was clear to most that there would be no open match that could end any other way.

Frillesås FF had no trouble outplaying the confused home defense. With a hat trick from Albin Julin, five goals were scored before halftime was over.

After the break, the home team looked slightly better, but it was still Frillesås FF who scored the first goal of the second half through Simon Kanthe. When Albin Vikingsson made it 6-0, the match was completely decided.

Despite Unite People FC fighting to score a consolation goal to honor the devoted fans who usually support their team live, it continued to rain goals from Frillesås FF. Adam Bohlin scored two goals, and Fredrik Idegård netted the ninth and final goal for the visitors.

The match ended 0-9 in favor of Frillesås FF. They momentarily took second place in the league, while Unite People FC remained at the bottom. Referee Antonio Nielsen had no major issues managing the match with the help of his assistants Esaias Ivarsson and Patrik Martinsson. Despite being an open Division 5 match, it was in the air that it could become a big victory, and it certainly did.
